Weathered Rock

Paul Nichol

Paul has been playing guitar just about all of his life.  He's a stunning guitarist with influences from Van Halen, Lizzy, Vai, Malmsteen, and Bettencourt through to modern hero's like Slash.  He was very successful in the 90's with local band Voyeur, but has now found his spiritual musical 'home' with Weathered Rock.  Truly one of the great local guitarists.  Paul uses Fender, Gibson and Jackson guitars, multiple effects and Marshall amplification.

Pete Lutwyche

Weathered Rock is Pete's first band.  A lifelong music nut and possibly the biggest Journey fan of all time, the band represents a 'dream come true' for the powerful singer.  A natural show-off, he makes the ideal front man, always encouraging the audience to get involved.  Pete is the band's lyricist, with major influences from the world of melodic rock, but with some hard rock and heavy metal thrown in.  Pete uses Shure microphones.  Live sound is mixed and powered by Behringer.

Dave Polkey

Dave's the joker of the band, keeping everyone on their toes with his hilarious observations on life and people.  A solid bass player with experience from over 20 years, his influences stem from Zeppelin and Purple to modern day bands like the Chili's.  He cut his musical teeth with Yorkshire barnstormers Roadhog where he developed his formative style.  Along with Keith, Dave is the engine room of the band.  Dave uses Fender and Music Man guitars and Laney/Hartke amplification.

Keith Robinson

Keith's the veteran in the band with over 30 years behind the kit in too many bands to mention over just about every style.  Like Paul, Keith has found his musical home with Weathered Rock.  He's an exceptional drummer, and person, who's understated play matches his personality.  Capable of anything behind the kit, Keith is happiest just driving the band along to perform to it's full capability.  Keith uses Premier drums and Zildjian cymbals.
